Occupy Anchorage needs a permit for their igloo and have to deal with a new city ordinance, no sitting or laying down on sidewalks.  Occupy Pensacola are also dealing with a new city ordinance, no camping in the city.  Tea Party should team up with Occupy?  Several articles this week make an interesting argument for this. Median income of US Senator - $2.63 million! Occupy 2.0 begins on 12.17.11!

Occupy Hartford is evicted.  Brookfield Properties (owners of Liberty Square aka Zuccotti Park) still owes $139,000 in back taxes.  Occupy London's Bank of Ideas provides free office space to any community organization.  Cleveland City Council passes Resolution 1720-11 in support of Occupy Cleveland and the Occupy Movement as a whole.  Occupy Phoenix discusses the idea of staying non-violent.

Occupy Our Homes kicks off in at least 25 cities: NYC, Buffalo, Rochester, LA, Oakland, San Francisco, San Diego, San Jose, Petaluma, Sacramento, Paradise, Contra Costa, Lake Worth, Atlanta, Fayetteville, Dekalb, Chicago, Bloomington, Minneapolis, Cleveland, Denver, Detroit, Southgate, St. Louis, Portland and Seattle.  In other news, Occupy Santa Cruz and UC Santa Cruz students are in their 4th day of occupying an abandoned Welles Fargo building.  OccupyDC is host to a National General Assembly as authorities block off the Washington Monument.

Meanwhile, Occupy LA and Occupy Philly are evicted in simultaneous late night raids.  Total Occupy arrests break the 5,000 mark.  Planned CUNY tuition hikes draw out hundreds of protesters.  #N30 general strike in London has estimated 2 million walk outs, 19,000 schools shut down, 6,000 operations cancelled, 135,000 civil servants strike and over 1,000 rallies and demonstrations planned for the day...but little to no coverage in the States.  #DinnerWithBarack sees protesters from Occupy Wall Street demonstrate outside a dinner fundraiser.  The Washington State Capital building remains occupied.
